Locally-owned, customer-focused payroll and bookkeeping company in northern Charlotte is looking for a proficient and friendly Payroll Specialist to meet its growing needs. Responsibilities include:
• Timely and accurate multi-client and multi-state payroll processing
• Process standard & non-standard deductions, changes, terminations and garnishments
• Preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports, filings for payments and deductions
• Preparing and delivering timely and accurate payroll tax returns
• Learn additional skills by assisting with bookkeeping needs and special projects as needed
The ideal candidate must have proven experience with the listed responsibilities and have the following qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years hands on payroll processing and tax filing
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Ability to multi-task, remain detail oriented and meet weekly and monthly deadlines
• Enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic, fun and flexible work environment
• Fast learner and ability to retain and follow a variety of written and verbal procedures
• Positive attitude along with excellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver quality customer service
• Proven desire to improve processes to reduce processing time and increase accuracy.
• Quickbooks experience is a plus
